Charlotte (Brumfield) Phillips, 94, passed away

April 15, 2011, at the JML
Nursing Home in Falmouth, Mass.
She was born Sept. 30, 1916, in Warrenton, to Ernest Wilford
and Effie Mable (Johnson) Brumfield.
She lived in Gibson County until 1955 when she and her husband, Sherman D. Phillips, moved to Indianapolis. She lived in Indianapolis until 1991 when she moved to Mashpee, Mass.
Charlotte worked for the Gibson County Bank and then retired
from Peoples Bank & Trust in Indianapolis, now Fifth Third Bank. She was a member of the Falmouth United Methodist Church at the time of her death and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Indianapolis before that. Charlotte’s interests included her church, family, especially
her grandchildren and travel. She was a dog lover and a huge Boston Celtics
fan.
Surviving Charlotte are two children, Ann
Phillips of Mashpee, Mass., John (Beth) Phillips of Newburgh; two
grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Davis of North Olmsted, Ohio and Marc Phillips of
Evansville.
She was preceded in death by her husband of
37 years, Sherman D. Phillips on Oct. 23, 1981.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011, at Colvin Funeral Home, in Princeton with the Rev. Doug Heiman officiating. Burial
will follow in the Decker Cemetery in rural Patoka.
Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011 at the funeral home.
