Helen Jane (Barrett) McReynolds, 85, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital.

Born June 4, 1925 in Owensville, she was the daughter of Jess Knowles and Clara Arilla (Spray) Barrett.

Helen Jane was a graduate of Owensville High School with the class of 1941. She was a homemaker and previously worked for Emge Packing Co., Potter & Brumfield and was an Avon representative.

Survivors include her daughters, Patty McReynolds of Owensville, Tamara (Greg) Bohnert of Ireland, Mary (Charles) Ahlf of Evansville; one grandson, Vaughn Ahlf; three step-grandchildren, Matthew (Monica), Lauren and Kristen Bohnert; a step-great grandson, Owen Bohnert; and a sister, Margaret Lucille Caldemeyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wade in 1993; and her brother, Jesse Jr. “Crosstie” Barrett.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with the Rev. Bob Douglas officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m.Tuesday March 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
