Charles William King, 76, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. 

Born Nov. 19, 1934 in Princeton, he was the son of William R. and Helen (Olmstead) King. 

He served with the U.S. Marine Corp and earned a Good Conduct Medal.  He married Marlene R. Hughes on May 3, 1959. He was the owner of King Family Real Estate and Insurance Co.

Survivors include his companion, Loraine Eyink, of Van Wert, Ohio; son, Danny (Sandy) King, of Yorktown; daughter, Julie (Lt. Colonel Paul) Hibbard, of Mountain Home, Idaho; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene on May 3, 1959; and a daughter, Sherri King.

Funeral services will be at 1 pm Monday, March 14, 2011 at Needham-Storey- Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, with the Rev. Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will be at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.

Visitation was 2-6 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at the funeral home.
