Clara Mae Abbott, 93, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

She was born Nov. 26, 1917 in Princeton to Robert P. and Lilly Mae (Moore) McCormick. Clara was a retired bookkeeper and had resided in Princeton most of her lifetime and was a Pink Lady at Gibson General Hospital for 13 years. She was of the protestant faith.

She is survived by her son, Larry Abbott; 2 granddaughters; 1 grandson and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Union Abbott in 1985; a brother, Robert McCormick and a son, Robert A. Abbott in 2009.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, with Mark Jones officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is handling the arrangements
