Viola M. Schwiersch, 85, of Haubstadt, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at The Waters of Princeton. 

Born April 5, 1925 in Fort Branch, she was the daughter of Ben and Dora Sollman. 

She was married to Elmer Ora Schwiersch.

She was a homemaker who loved tending her garden, planting flower beds and cooking.  Viola was a member of Tabor United Methodist Church and had attended Christian Fellowship Church.

Viola is survived by her children, Brenda Erwin (Duane) of Elberfeld, Donna Kruse (Hubert) of Elberfeld, Larry Schwiersch (Andrea) of Haubstadt; sister, Bernice Tirmenstein; grandchildren, Nicole Ziliak (Lonnie), Amie Hulfachor (Mike), Steffney Kruse, Lauren and Alicia Schwiersch; great-grandchildren, Kyler Duncan, Kendall Hulfachor, Brylee Ziliak, Kyra Champa, Alex Hulfachor; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Elmer who preceded on May 3, 2009; a sister, Velma Sollman; and brother, Bud Sollman.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, Second and Elm streets in Elberfeld the Rev. Steve Oeth officiating. Burial will be in Tabor Cemetery in Gibson County.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 and 9 a.m. to the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
