Jessie Lucille Mayberry, 85 of Oakland City,
passed away Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City.
She was born May 27, 1925 in Danville, Tenn. to Dewey and Stella (Cathey)
Folks.
She resided in Oakland City
the past eight years, moving there from Nevada. She was a homemaker, a former member of the Eastern
Star. She loved to oil paint especially landscape scenes.
She is survived by her husband of 61
years, Carl Mayberry of Oakland City; step-daughter, Janet Mayberry of El Dorado,
Ill.; grandson, Charles (Amy) Michel of Owensville; granddaughter, Laura
Hedrick of Holland, Mich., five great grandchildren, Melissa and Allison
Michel, Kristina, Kyle and Joshua Hedrick.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City,
with the Rev. Brian Cook officiating. Burial will be at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday
and from 8
a.m. until the service hour
on Monday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
