Barbara A. Gillie, 79, of Oakland City, passed away Monday Feb. 7, 2011 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City.

Born Nov. 2, 1931 in Ayrshire, she was the daughter of James and Jannie  (Seatto) Willis.

She was employed for several years at Wirth Regional Hospital, and was 50 year member of the Oakland City and Winslow Eagles.

Survivors include  nieces,  Michelle Young of Oakland City, Vickie Young of Cato, Beth Young of Evansville, Tammy Griffith of Missouri; nephew, Mitch Young of Oakland; two great nieces; two great nephews; three great great nieces; and three great great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Gillie; and sister, Joy Young.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Darin D. Nossett officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Winslow.
