William H. “Bud” Moore, Sr., 86, passed away
Sunday,
Jan. 16, 2011 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Born Aug. 9, 1924 near Patoka, he was the son of Jesse and Clara (Caldwell) Moore.
He was a life resident of Posey County. He was a graduate of Griffin High School and retired from Whirlpool Corp. after 39 years .
He was a World War II Army veteran. Bud was a member of the Oliver Marquis
American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Masonic Lodge 710 of
Cynthiana.
Survivors include two daughters, Roberta (J.C.)
Johnson of Alexandria, Va., Brenda (Ron) Brand of
Evansville; two sons, William H. Moore, Jr. of Evansville, Terry Moore of Cynthiana; five grandchildren;
six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Overton of Owensville and Ruth
(Ray) Mathew of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
wife of 63 years, Frances “Bonnie” (East) Moore
on Dec. 31, 2008; two
sisters, Lois Titzer and Beulah Straw.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan 20 2011, at Werry Funeral Home, in
Poseyville with Pastor
Mike Douglass officiating. Burial will be in Bethsaida Cemetery in Stewartville.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7 p.m.
