Donnis L. Fetcher, 71, passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011 at Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

Born April 16, 1939 in Poseyville, he was the son of Herschel and Rachel (Shain) Fetcher.

He was a truck driver for Evansville Water Hauling for 20 years and worked for Whirlpool Corp. He was a graduate of Griffin High School.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Hattie (Arbuthnot) Fetcher; a daughter, Shelia R. Claridge; sons, Allen D. and Herschel P. Fetcher; sisters, Linda Hurt and Yvonne Basinger; brothers, Gene and Dave Fetcher; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Shirley Fetcher.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville with Bart Newton officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Griffin.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
