John J Bush, 84 of Haysville, passed away Monday Jan. 17, 2011 at home.

Born Feb. 6, 1926 in Owensville, he was the son of Orville and Brittie (Bowman) Bush. 

He married JoAnn Williams Aug. 21, 1948 in Henderson, Ky.

 Survivors include his wife; seven daughters,Linda (Frederick) Allen,  of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Susan (David) Hemmerlein, of Dubois, Nancy (Steven) Hopf, of Jasper, Pamela (Arthur) Rasche, of Jasper, Beverly (Edward) Carpenter, of Ferdinand, Julia  (Paul) Brosmer, Schnellville, Jill (Kenneth) Wright, of Birdseye; a son, Johnnie Dean (Ruth) Bush, of Celestine; two sisters,Margaret Yeager, of Seymour, Maxine Newman, of Haubstadt; a brother,Orville Bush Jr., of Owensville; 21 grandchildren; and  26 great grandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by sisters, Marcelle Dierlam, Alice Strickland, infant Vera Lucille Bush; brothers, Robert “Bob” Bush; James Bush; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011  at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ with the Rev. Darrell Wineinger officiating. Burial will be at in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Dubois.  V.F.W. Post  673 in Jasper will conduct military graveside rites.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Friday at Becher & Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and one hour before services at the church on Saturday.
