Jessie Ruth Boyd, 80, passed away Sunday, Jan.16, 2011 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.

Born May 21, 1930 in Pike County, she was the daughter of Joseph and Bernice (Loveless) Miller.

She was a member of Oakland City Church Of The Nazarene and was a homemaker.

Survivors include Marie Boyd, Cindy (Lex) Shelby, Rick (Jenny) Boyd, Mike (Laura) Boyd, Jeff “Bub” (Linda) Boyd, Ruth Ann Melhiser, Danny (Amanda) Boyd of Winslow, Eddie Joe (Robin) Boyd, Chris (Leslie) Boyd of Petersburg, Jenny (Terry) “Tater” Knepp of Montgomery; brother, Dallas Miller of Oakland City; 24 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edwin O. Boyd in November 1993; and son, Stevie Boyd in 1960.

Funeral services will be at a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011at Oakland City Church Of The Nazarene with the Rev. Darin D. Nossett officiating.  Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the church.
