Noma E.
Anderson, 83, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility
in Princeton.
Noma was born Nov. 18, 1927 in Peyton Saskatchewan, Canada to Fred and Mona Slunaker.
She lived in Princeton most of her life. Noma was a member of
the Columbia
General Baptist Church in Princeton. She retired from Southern Indiana Tire at the
age of 80.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie
Anderson of Miami, Fla., Linda (James) Oldfield of
Greenbrier, Tenn.; son and his partner, Arthur Anderson and Michael
Dodd of Nashville, Tenn.; granddaughter, Catherine Dodd; sister-in-law, Floy Tichenor of Princeton;
several nieces and nephews; and a special friend and caregiver, Shirley Marsh.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; her husband, Leon Anderson in 1980; three brothers,
Vaughn, Vernon and Wayne Slunaker; and
two sisters, Freida Foster and Enola Wagner.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Brother Ron Marsh officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
