Clarence E. Wade Jr., 82, of Indianapolis, formerly of Princeton, passed away Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009.
He was the son of Clarence and Mary Johnson Wade Sr.
He was a graduate of Butler University. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having
served during W.W. II. Clarence worked for Stokely-Van
Camp Inc. as a Product Manager, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Princeton Masonic Lodge 231, Indianapolis Valley
Scottish Rite, Murat Temple, American Legion Kennington
Post 34, where he served as Post Commander, and the Carmel VFW.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathryn Montgomery Wade; daughters, Paula
(David) Snyder, Alice Low; sister, Virginia Smith; six grandchildren; and one
great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stanford E. Wade; and
daughter-in-law, Anna Mae Wade.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 at Leppert Mortuary, Smith
Carmel Chapel, 900 N. Rangeline Road, Carmel. Burial will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Maumee Cemetery in Johnson, with military honors.
