Dolores “Dode” Vallette, 73, passed away Thursday, Oct. 9, 2009 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Ill.

Born July 19, 1936 in Chandler, Oka., she was the daughter of Acy V. and Mary (Carey) Hall.

She married Larry Vallette on Jan. 21, 1982 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. She retired from Champion Labs after 34 years.

Survivors include husband, Larry of West Salem; daughters, Victoria (Pat) Dunkel of Mt. Carmel, Ill., Debbie (Jeff) White of Princeton; sons, Terry (Yvonne) Giese of Portland, Ore., Bob (Krysti) Giese of Sadalia, Colo., Larry Giese of Albion, Ill.; step-sons, Darin (Sonya) Vallette of Columbus, Ind., Mike (Yolanda) Vallette of Ellery, Ill.; brothers, Ted Hall of St. Charles, Mo., Marion (Sandy) Thomas of Chesterfield, Mo.; step-sister, Jeanine Kitley; step-brother, Norman Kitley of Charleston, Ill; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by first husband, Don Ray Giese in 1979; and one granddaughter.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009 at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem, Ill. with burial at Moravian Cemetery in West Salem.Visitation was Sunday at at the funeral home.
