Alfred John Stamm, 64 of Monroeville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009.

  He was born
Jan. 30, 1944 in Sandusky, Ohio.  He drove a garbage truck and tow truck for many years and was previously employed with the railroad.  He collected diecast cars and Santa items and played Santa for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Frances Kay (Miller); stepchildren, Danny (Joyce) Humphreys of Fort Branch, David (Maranda) Humphreys of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Brent Seibert of Mt. Carmel, Ill., Shelton Seibert, Becky Sharp of Monroeville, Ohio; four sisters, Helen Strouse of Cabool, Mo., Peggy Forney and Jeannie Hartman of Bellevue, Ohio, Patricia Kessler of Sandusky, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; 12 granddaughters; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Elnora Stamm.

Funeral services and visitation will be at
9 a.m. until the time of service at noon (eastern) Friday at Pfeil Funeral Home, 109 Monroe St., Monroeville, with the Rev. Dave Gowan officiating.  Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Monroeville.
