Robert W. Hill 79 of Petersburg, IN. entered rest on Monday August 10, 2009 at 3:32 P.M. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.

He was born on February 21, 1930 in Spurgeon IN. to Jack and Beatrice (Willis) Hill.

He retired from Perdue Food, and attended the Rumble town Free Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by parents and sisters Wilma Hill and Mozell Gladish.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years Mary (Atkins) Hill; Sons: David (Mary Jo), Tim, Tony (Becky) and Danny (Diane) Hill all of Petersburg, IN. Grandchildren: Brooke, Ryan, Ashley, Cara and Clayton Hill. Step-Grandchildren: Zac Jackson, Jude Pearson, Kenneth and Joshua Cleghorn, Matthew Mattingly, Ashley, Keena and Cody Coleman. Great Grandchildren: Elizabeth and Gracie Hill. Step-Great Grandchildren: Dylan Cleghorn. Sister: Betty Hill of Petersburg, IN. Brother: Jim Hill of Petersburg, IN.

Funeral services will be Friday August 14, 2009 11:00 A. M.E.S.T. at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, with burial in Willis Cemetery near Petersburg IN.

Rev. Jim Harrell will be officiating. Visitation will be Thursday August 13, 2009 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. E.S.T. and from 9:00A.M. E.S.T. until services on Friday at the chapel.
