Patricia Jean (Gilbert) Crimm, age 68, passed away peacefully
She was born
Trish had a happy childhood, growing up in
She also taught classes there for expectant parents and
found so much joy when she worked in the newborn nursery. The remainder
of her career was spent at Deaconess Women's Hospital in the newborn nursery
until her retirement in 2006.
A loving mother with a passion for her grandchildren,
Trish so enjoyed her time spent with family and friends. She was a caring
and attentive mother who took an active role in every phase of her children's
lives as well as the lives of her nieces and nephews. In later years, her
grandchildren were a great joy and source of pride for her. She truly
enjoyed her role as grandmother and kept picture albums of all the special
times spent together. Trish was a kind-hearted person and a lover of
animals and nature. She was known to sometimes stop the car along the side of
the road to snap a picture of a flower or a tree. She looked forward to
visits at a special vacation spot at
Although Trish's family and career kept her busy, she
valued her community. As a young adult she was actively involved in the Junior
League of Evansville and continued to be a sustaining member. She enjoyed
her volunteer work at
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Paul D. Crimm; her beloved children and their spouses, Cristi (Bill) Fenton of Greenwood, Carter (Jill) Crimm of Fishers; grandchildren, Jena and Jackson Fenton,
Connor and Lauren Crimm, who cherished their “Gamma Tish;” her mother, Jean A. Gilbert; brother, George A.
(Malinda) Gilbert; sister Sara Gilbert Viehe, all of Princeton; and special nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
