John R. Clark, 75, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at home.

He was born
July 11, 1933 in Owensville and resided in Gibson County his entire lifetime. He was a graduate of Princeton High School, class of 1951 and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 82nd Airborne Division.

He retired in 1993 after 29 years with the USDA as a federal meat inspector. He also formerly worked as a mechanic with the Pontiac Garage in
Princeton and the former Potter & Brumfield Co.

He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 25 and a former member of the V.F.W., Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge all in
Princeton.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Linda; three daughters, Theresa (Kerry) Wagner of Owensville, Patricia Binhack of Princeton, Christine (Troy) Baize of Patoka; nine step-children, Marranda, Jimmy, Ronnie, Sandy, Steve, Vicki, Rose, Greg, April; five grandchildren, Alecia and Michael Binhack and John, Hillary and Jesse Baize; 17 step- grandchildren; one step great grandchild; two brothers, William (Roseanna) Clark of Haubstadt, Don (Beverly) Clark of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Clark; brother, Earl Clark; and sister, Louise Schulke.

Funeral services will be at
2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Greg Davis officiating. Burial will be in Clark Cemetery near Owensville. V.F.W. 1147 will provide military rites at the cemetery.

 

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
