Jerry Wayne Arbuthnot Jr. 48, of Haubstadt, passed away Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

Born Dec. 13, 1960 in Gibson County, he was the son of Jerry Wayne Sr., and Mary (Blunk) Arbuthnot.

Wayne worked for the last nine and half years at Matrix Warehouse in Darmstadt. He was a member of the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge 696, and the Fort Branch Order of the Eastern Star 455. He also served three years in the Indiana National Guard.

Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Barbara (Baker) Arbuthnot; two step daughters, Jolinda (Jarrod Shantz) Leach of Fort Branch, Nikki (Bert) Heddrick of Newburgh; sister, Dianna (Terry) Wright of Owensville; two step grand daughters, Chasidy Heddrick, Jaden Shantz; and two step great granddaughters, Lydia and Ayranna Toone.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry W. Arbuthnot Sr., on Feb. 6, 2001.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, with the Rev. Ron Austin officiating. Burial will be at Blythe Chapel Cemetery in Owensville.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the funeral home where a Masonic Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge 696.
