Darwin L. Williams, 88, Fort Branch Indiana died on March 8, 2004 at the Owensville Manor in Owensville Indiana.

 

Born September 4, 1915, in Fort Branch, he was the son of Samuel A. and Sarah (Bass) Williams.

 

On January 27, 1940 he married Odessa Neumaster and she preceded him in death on July 26, 1990.

 

Survivors include two sons, Donald R. Williams and wife, Sharon of Fort Branch, Indiana and Jerry L. Williams and wife, Sandra of Greencastle, Indiana; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a brother, Rev. Charles A. Williams and wife Jane of Vincennes; and a sister-in-law, Mary Williams of Fort Branch.

 

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by step-mother, Beatrice Williams; two brothers, Donald B. Williams and wife Imogene, and James T. Williams; and a sister, Betty Jo Williams.

 

He was a farmer all of his life in the Fort Branch and Owensville communities. He was a deacon and an active member of the Bethlehem General Baptist Church. He was a former board member of the Gibson County Farm Bureau Co-op and the Gibson County Soil and Water conservation Board.

 

Services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. at the Bethlehem General Baptist Church on Thursday March 11, 2004

 

Visitation will be at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch on Wednesday March 10, 2004 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, Indiana.
