Ivan Leo TenBarge, 91, of Cincinnati, OH, formally of Haubstadt, IN passed away at Mercy Franciscan Hospital in Cincinnati on Friday, May 16, 2008.

 

He was born to the late George and Nettie (Eberhardt) TenBarge on July 25, 1916 in Haubstadt, IN.

 

Ivan worked for the United States Government as a meat inspector for 37 years and was president of National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Chapter 262 for 6 years and was vice-president for 5 years. He was also on the Resident Council at West Park Retirement Village for 3 years and was vice-president for 2 of those years. Ivan was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Louisville, KY.

 

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alice Evelyn (Vaught) TenBarge; 3 children, Anthony TenBarge of Columbus, OH, Elisabeth Turner of Cincinnati, OH,and Marilee Brown of Jupiter, FL; 6 grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, and Catherine Turner, Emily, and Sophia Brown, and Michael TenBarge

 

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, with Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser the celebrants, burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. 

 

Visitation will be on Monday May 19, 2008 from 4:30 P,M, until 7:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, and again from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Tuesday at the church. A rosary will be conducted at 6:30 P.M. at the funeral home on Monday evening.
