Juanita I. Stone, age 91, of Fort Branch, passed away on Sunday March 21, 2004 at her residence.
Juanita was born October 26, 1912 to the late William E. and May (Schlottman)
Sevier in the coal mine town of Jackson Hill #4 in Sullivan County Indiana. She was truly a coal miners
daughter.
She was a retired Office
Manager for Comptomter Corporation, worked at
Republic Aviation, worked at the Business Office of Briggs Manufacturing in Evansville, traveled for Home Decorators and her last job was
running the Buggy Shed Antique Shop. She
was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Fort Branch, a member of The Daughters of Nile, Past President of
Business and Professional Women Club.
She is preceded in death by
her granddaughter, Mrs. Susan Blandford and a Sister Uleta Keen.
She is Survived by her
husband of 58 yrs, whom she married September 29, 1945, Joseph Stone of Fort Branch; a daughter, Mrs. Sabra J.
Burger of Evansville, IN; a grandson, Gregory Burger of Evansville, IN; 3 great grandchildren, Sara Blandford,
Nathan Burger and Christine Burger; a brother, William Sevier of Somerville IN; several nieces and nephews.
Services for Juanita will be Thursday March
25, 2004 at 10:00 AM at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West
in Fort Branch with the Reverend Tarrell
Thompson officiating and the Reverend Sam Sterrett
assisting. Entombment will be at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch IN.
Friends may call for visitation
at the funeral home on Wednesday March 24, 2004 from 4 to
9 PM
