Thomas C. Stallings, 90, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24th, 2006 at the River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1915 in Poseyville, IN, to the late Harry and Lucy Ann (Wells) Stallings.
Tom was retired from the Co-op
Oil Refinery in Mt.
Vernon, IN, and the R & J Oil Refinery in Princeton. He was a member of the St.
James Catholic Church in St. James, IN, and was also a member of the Haubstadt Knights of
Columbus and Haubstadt Knights of St. John. He was also a veteran of the Indiana National
Guard.
Besides his parents Tom is
also preceded in death by his wife Pauline N. (Nix) Stalling, who passed away
on Dec. 24th, 1997; 2
children and their spouses, Jane Ann (John) Karges of
St. James, IN, and Charles L. (Diane) Stallings of Ruidiso
New Mexico; 7 grandchildren, Thomas Karges, Kristine
Atkinson, Bridget Norman, Jeffrey Karges, Gabriel
Sharkey, Rachel Collins, and Aaron Stallings; and 18 great grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial
will be on Thursday, Sept. 28th, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. James Catholic Church in St. James, IN, with Father Kenneth Betz being the celebrant, burial
will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.
Visitation will be at the
church on Thursday morning Sept. 28th, 2006 from 8:00 A.M. until service time.
