Joseph P. Spindler,
74, of Fort Branch, IN passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at the Deaconess Hospice Care Center in Evansville, IN.
Joe was born to the late
Joseph A. and Albertina A. (Fieth)
Spindler in Gibson County, IN. Jan. 27, 1931.
He was a member of the Holy
Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, the St. Henry's Knights of St. John, and the Holy
Name Society. Joe was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in the military from
1955 until 1957. Joe worked most of his lifetime as a carpenter.
Besides his parents, he was
preceded in death by 3 brothers, Henry, John, and Paul Frank Spindler.
Joe is survived by his wife
Valeria Ann (Baehl) Spindler;
3 children, Debra Griffin of Ponder
TX, Karen Ann Eberhardt of London,
KY, and Gary J. Spindler of Fort Branch, IN; 1 brother and 2 sisters, Robert Spindler
of Poseyville, IN, Anna K. Mayer of Fort Branch, IN, and Eva Miller
also of Fort Branch; 11 grandchildren, Jessica Judd, Rhiannon Griffin, Jonathon
Griffin, Adelle Eberhardt,
Spencer Judd, Nathan Eberhardt, Matthew Spindler, Henry Eberhardt,
Tiffany Spindler, Brooklyn Spindler,
Adam Eberhardt.
A mass of Christian burial
will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Father Tony
Ernst will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call for visitation
from 4:00
P.M. Tuesday, March
15, 2005 until 8:00 P.M. with a rosary to be conducted Tuesday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. The Fort Branch VFW Post 2714
will conduct a military service at the graveside on Wednesday.
