Ferdinand W. Spindler, age 89, passed away
He was born to the late Frank
Sr. and Rosa (Pohl) Spindler on
Ferd was retired from the Emge
Meat Packing Co. after 37 years of service. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S.
Army during World War II, where he received the Bronze Star. He was a member of
the

preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lynn and Raymond Spindler.
Ferd is survived by his wife of 56 years, Alice (Field) Spindler; 4 children and their spouses, Mary Martha and
Steven Kurtz of Robard Ky,
Elizabeth Ann and Bryan Haig of Fort Branch, IN,
William Emery Spindler of Evansville IN and Nancy
Pauline and Leroy Gorman of Evansville; 6 grandchildren; 3 brothers, Edward Spindler of Haubstadt, IN, Frank Spindler
Jr. of Haubstadt, IN, Leo Spindler of Owensville, IN;
and 2 sisters, Loretta Schmitt of Poseyville, IN and
Sister Rosella Spindler of Ferdinand, IN.
