Doris M. Sollman,
of Evansville, IN passed away on Nov. 20th, 2005 at her residence.
She was born on March 4th, 1922, to the late Julius and Olga (Neiderhaus)
Lange.
Doris was a retired teacher. She had taught in many public
and parochial schools in Vanderburgh and Gibson Counties. She was of the Lutheran faith, and volunteered for
Christian Life Ministries and several other charities.
Besides her parents, she is
preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Sollman on Oct. 16th, 1961; and a son Larry Ray Sollman
in 1958.
She is survived by 2
daughters, Charlene McConnell of Patoka,
IN, Sandra Kay Shelby of Evansville, IN; 2 sisters, Ruby Sollman of
Newburgh, IN, and Carolyn Powell of Evansville, IN; 5 grandchildren, Jessica Ross, William McConnell
III, Salah Shelby, Rachel Shelby and Daniel Shelby;
and 2 great grandchildren, Darian and Kirsten Ross.
Services for Doris
will be Wednesday, Nov. 23rd, 2005 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Volkman Rd. in Evansville, IN, Reverend Kurt Horstmeyer
will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday,
Nov. 22nd, 2005 at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
