Gary E. Schuble,
66, passed away September 17 at Deaconess Hospital from complications of open heart surgery, two days
before his 67th birthday.
He graduated from Fort Branch High
School in
1958 and shortly after graduation joined the U.S. Army where he was stationed
at Nuremberg, Germany for three and one half years. He worked in finance
business for 35 years, working his way through the ranks to Vice President of
Operations. Much of that time was with General Finance (now American General)
and later in his career with Mercury Finance. Gary was retired and enjoyed golf, horse racing, and
traveling. He and his wife Susie recently took a 2-week river cruise through Germany, traveling on the Rhine River and then continued on the Danube River. Gary was
so happy to return to Nuremberg and Germany to revisit all of his favorite places. Gary was a member of the Fort Branch First Presbyterian
Church
He was preceded in death by
his father, Elbert Schuble; his mother and
stepfather, Thelma and Bob Hallam.
Surviving him are his wife of
27 years, Susie (Mooney) Schuble; son and
daughter-in-law, Kenny and Angie Schuble;
granddaughter Kendrea Schuble;
step-granddaughter Chelsae Thrall all of Evansville;
sisters, Marianne Lingis of Fort Branch and Susan
Gould of Evansville; sister-in-law, Joanna Tedford
and her husband Larry of Mt. Carmel, IL; brother-in-law, Mike Mooney and his
wife Dalles of Evansville; brother-in-law, Pat Mooney
and his wife Sharon of Clinton, Iowa; brother-in-law Mark Mooney of Evansville;
and many nieces, nephews, and great friends.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 21, 2007 at Stodghill Funeral Home
located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN officiated by Dr. Jim Cramer
with burial at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN.
Visitaion will be on Thursday, September 20, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the
funeral home.
