Dorothy Mae Schneider, 78, of Fort Branch, IN passed away Saturday, Mar. 31st, 2007, at her residence after a long illness.

She was born on April 2, 1928 in Kankakee, IL, to the late George and Rose (Linnenburger) Tibbie.

Dorothy was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. and the Jasper VFW Post 673 Womens Aux. Dorothy was a loving mother and aunt.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Donald Schneider, who passed away on Mar. 26, 1978; and a brother Myron Tibbie who passed away on Mar. 18, 2000.

Dorothy is survived by her twin sister Doris Linnenburger of Fort Branch; 3 daughters Rose (Jeff) Blaize of Knob Noster, MO, Kathy (Brett) Conrey of Haubstadt, IN, and Chris (Jerry) Kneis of Jasper, IN; 3 nieces, Sandy Smith of Fort Branch, IN, Jackie Clark of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Susan Hurt of Evansville, IN; 1 more sister, Mae Taylor of Hammond, IN; and 6 grandchildren, Josh and Caleb Blaize, Chelsie (Josh) Kern, Casey Conrey, Taylor and Lauren Knies.

A mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 11:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN, Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser will be the celebrants, burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, Apr. 2, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, where a Rosary will be recited by the church parish at 7:30 P.M. that evening.
