Kenneth R. Maikranz, 57, of Fort Branch passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008 in Buckskin, IN.

He was born to Robert and Bernice (Ritchie) Maikranz on March 27, 1951 in Princeton, IN.

Kenny was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. and the Haubstadt Knights of St. John.. He was employed at the Gibson County Hwy. Garage. Kenny had a strong love for the outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt with his wife and family. He will be deeply missed by anyone that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Hoefling) Maikranz, his parents Robert and Bernice Maikranz of Fort Branch, 3 children, Brian S. Maikranz and Craig D. Maikranz of Fort Branch, IN., and Kenneth R. Maikranz Jr. of Newburgh, IN. Also surviving are 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Ron Maikranz of Princeton, IN. Duncan Maikranz of Fort Branch, IN., Susie Ostrander of Griffin, IN. and Anita Graham of Fort Branch, IN., and 9 Grandchildren, Shane, Hunter, Fisher, Zoey, Ian, Kale, Ashton, Hannah, and Lucy Maikranz.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, IN. Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser will be the celebrants, burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, and again on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 P.M. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish on Wednesday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
