Helen Lamkin,
91, of Princeton, IN, passed away on Sunday, March 25th, 2007 at the Waters in Princeton, IN.
She was born on Oct. 17th, 1915 in Rome,
IN to the late John T. and Inez (Hagan) Pontrich. She was
married to Carrol F. (Kibby)
Lamkin on July 10th, 1943 and was his devoted wife for 63 years.
Helen was a member of the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church. She was a retired school teacher, having retired in
1979 after 42 years of teaching. Her last 3 schools she taught in were Marlette School, Franklin School, and Brumfield School. Helen also was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma,
and the Retired Teachers Association.
Besides her parents Helen is
preceded in death by 2 sisters, Bernice Lanman, and
Evelyn Mattingly.
Helen is survived by her
husband Carrol (Kibby) Lamkin and a daughter Nikki Lu Rentz
of Kokomo, IN. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Anthony and Brienne Rentz also of Kokomo,
IN, and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Helen will be on
Wednesday, March 28th, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stodghill
Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN. Reverend John Windell will officiate.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March
27th, 2007 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
