Jerome F. Lamey, 85, of Haubstadt, IN. passed away on Wed., Dec. 24, 2008 at his residence.

 

He was born on June 15, 1923, to the late Edward and Cleanora (Bauer) Lamey in Haubstadt, IN, where he lived most of his lifetime.

 

Jerome had been a farmer in the St. James area for many years and was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN.

 

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Alma L. (Knapp) Lamey, and 7 children and their spouses, Karen (Bill) Harris, James (Diane) Lamey, Linda (Edward) Hirsch, Judy (Ron) Scherer, Terry J. (Janie) Lamey, Patty (Randy) Sollman all of Haubstadt, and Jerry (Sandy) Lamey of Evansville, IN; 2 brothers and 4 sisters, Margaret Emge of Fort Branch, Ruth May, Lucille Halbig, Julianne Riffert , Edwin Lamey, and Joe Lamey all of Haubstadt; 21 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.

 

A mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. James Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, Father Kenneth Betz will be the celebrant, burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 26, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN., and again from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Saturday. A rosary will be recited by the church parish on Friday at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
