Oscar O. Kiesel,
93, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2007 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, IN.
He was the second oldest of
ten children. He was born on December 19, 1913 to the late Michael and Julia (Naas)
Kiesel.
In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by his wife Margarette
(Ingram) Kiesel, two brothers, Cletus and Frank Kiesel and three sisters, Hilda Hasenour,
Mary Magdalen Mayer, and Norma Keil.
Oscar is survived by his son
Charles Kiesel and wife Janice, Fort Branch, IN, his daughter, Joyce Fleming and her husband Donald
of Haubstadt, IN, granddaughters, Kimberly (Fleming) Martin, Kelly (Fleming)
Harris, and Kerri Fleming; and great grandchildren, Kasey
Martin, Lane Harris, and Tyler Fleming. Also surviving are brothers Henry Kiesel of Fort Branch, IN, Elmer Kiesel of Haubstadt, IN, sisters, Alice Kiesel of Gentryville, IN, and Dorothy Knapp of Haubstadt, IN, and many nieces and nephews.
Oscar was employed by Emge Meat Packing Co., Sunbeam Bread Co., and later retired
from Whirlpool Corporation after 25 years of service. He was a member of the
Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN. Oscar loved to be with
his granddaughters and great-grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial
will be conducted on Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN, Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser will be the
celebrants, burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be on
Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill funeral home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN and again from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the
funeral home Friday morning. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish at 5:30 P.M. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
