Kathryn L. Hughes, 84, of Fort Branch, IN., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10th, 2006 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton, IN.

 

She was born on Aug. 7th, 1922 in Gibson Co. IN, to the late Arba and Louise (Grunder) Stewart.

 

Kathryn was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN and was a member of the St. Bernard Altar Society. She was also a member of the Lady Elks in Princeton, IN and the Fort Branch VFW post 2714 Ladies Aux.

 

Besides her parents, Kathryn is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Hughes, who passed away on Dec. 8th, 2004 and a sister Dorothy Joest in 2005.

 

She is survived by 2 children, Kathy Hughes Doerner of Fort Branch, IN, Larry Hughes of Groesbeck, Texas, and six grandchildren, Amy Hoffer, Bryan, Michael, and Lindsay Hughes, Tiffany and Josh Wildman. Also surviving is 1 sister Lillian Stermer of Princeton, IN.

 

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 14th, 2006, 10:00 A.M. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN. Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kiaser will be the celebrants; burial will be in the church cemetery.

 

Visitation will be on Sunday, August 13th, 2006 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish on Sunday at 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
