Arnetta F Howard, 57, of Fort Branch Indiana, passed away at Deaconess Hospital on April 12, 2004.
She was born July 23, 1946 in Evansville IN to the late Arthur Hasten Jr
and Vera Lucille (Marx) Hasten.
She was a cosmetologist and
beautician in Fort Branch for several years and co-owned Express Smokes with
her husband Bernard. Arnettas number one hobby was
her grandson. She greatly enjoyed camping, fishing, her flower garden, family geneology research, cooking large dinners, bowling and
ceramics. She loved and will be dearly missed by Gizmo and Lulu, her babies.
She belonged to the Fort Branch Ladies V.F.W. Post 2714 Auxiliary, The Fort
Branch Order of Eastern Star, and the American Pool Players Association. She
was of the Baptist Faith.
Besides her parents she is
preceded in death by her sister Shelby Sutherland.
She is survived by her
husband of 39 years, Bernard "Bernie" G. Howard with whom he was
married on September 20, 1964, two sons and spouses: Michael D. and Debra R
(Wilson) Howard of Evansville, IN and Eric D. Howard and Michael Reynolds of
Granger, IN. She also has a brother and sister Earl Chapman of Evansville and Shirley Thacker of Evansville. She is also
survived by one grandson whom
she loved dearly, Pierce Michael Howard of Evansville, Indiana.
Services for Arnetta will be Thursday April 15, 2004 at 2:00 PM
at the Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, IN with Reverend Tarrell
Thompson officiating, with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday April
14, 2004 from 2 to 8 pm
with a Eastern Star Service at 7:30 PM.
