Jack R. Hollis, 79, of Fort Branch IN died at his home on November 27, 2005.

He was born to John and Bertha (Thompson) Hollis on July 9, 1926 in Oakland City IN.

He was retired from Emge Meat Packing and was a Janitor at the Fort Branch Public Library for 8 years after his retirement .He was a Army Veteran of WW II, having served in the Pacific Theater. He attended Holy Cross Catholic Church, was a member of Fort Branch V.F.W. Post 2714, the American Legion, and the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge 696.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary (Mayer) Hollis on October 19, 1993.

Jack is survived by three children, Judy Richardson and her husband Bill of Lawrenceville IL, Jackie Hollis of Fort Branch, IN and John and his wife Stephanie Hollis also of Fort Branch and 4 grandchildren Andy and Abby Hollis, Hannah and Haley Richardson

Services for Jack will be Wednesday November 30, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Church in Fort Branch with Father Tony Ernst and Father Paul Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the V.F.W. Post 2714 conducting graveside military rites.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch.
