Richard L. Hawkins Sr., 65, of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2005 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.

He was born on March 4th, 1940 to the late Ernest and Evelyn (Wood) Hawkins in Evansville, IN.

Richard served in the U.S. Air force in 1957 and was retired from the Army Corps of Engineers. After his retirement he worked in remodeling for 20 years. He practiced the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife, Charolotte (Judy)Hawkins and 3 children. Renee Goedde of Haubstadt, IN, Teri Martin of Evansville, IN, and David Hawkins of Newburgh, IN. Also surviving is a brother Ronald Hawkins of Mt. Vernon, IN, and 7 grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in Death by 1 son, Richard L. Hawkins Jr. in July 2003.

Services for Richard will be Friday, September 2nd, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home, located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, with Fr. Ted Tempel officiating, burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Haubstadt, IN.

Friends may call for visitation on Thursday, September 1st, 2005 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A Rosary will be recited at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:30 P.M.
