Mildred M. Georges, 86 of Haubstadt, IN, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born to the late Matthew and Mamie (Schautz) Greubel on March 25, 1917 in Haubstadt, IN.

Mildred was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run, IN, and had been attending church at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, since moving there 13 years ago. She was a member of the Haubstadt Daughters of Isabella, The Birthday Club, The Blessed Virgin Alter Society, The St. Bernadette Aux., she was an honorary member of the St. Ann’s Alter Society. Mildred was an avid Quilter.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Georges in 1973, a grandson, Lance Georges in 1998, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

Mildred is survived by 5 children and thier spouses. Larry and Janet Georges of Fort Branch, IN, Jerry and Sue Georges of Newton, IL, Janet and Tony Sevier of Fort Branch, IN, Debbie and Gary Fritz of Fredericksburg, VA., and Judy and Kenny Page of Oakland City, IN. She also is survived by 1 sister Valada Hoffman of Evansville, IN, 15 grandchildren , Sean Georges, Arthur Georges, Jenniffer Cychall, Josie Georges, Tammy Meny, Jeff Sevier, Tracy Gunn, Steve Sevier, Jeri Ann Georges, Sheri Georges, Micha Georges, Barry Fritz, Kenny Page, Matt Page, Whitney Page; also 19 great grandchildren and a very dear friend Leona Sokeland.

A mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Bernard Catholic Chuch in Snake Run, burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call for visitation on Friday from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. A Rosary will be recited by the church parish on Friday evening at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
