Barbara J. Edwards, 72, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 3rd, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN.

She was born to the late Lawrence Lowell and Marjorie (Eskew) Strawn on March 2nd, 1934 in Gibson County, IN.

Barb was a 50 year member of the Blythe Chapel United Methodist Church in Owensville, IN, and was a member of the VFW Post 2714, Ladies Auxiliary. In 1997 she retired from Hansen’s Manufacturing in Princeton, IN after 32 years of service. She and her late husband Earl W. (Sonny) Edwards, who passed away on Jan. 24, 2003 owned and operated the Edwards Holiday Shop in Fort Branch, IN.

Besides her husband and parents, Barb is also preceded in death by a brother, Charles L. Strawn, who passed away on June 13, 1994.

Barb is survived by 2 sons and their wives, Kenneth (Sandy) Edwards of Owensville, IN, and Bill (Diane) Edwards of Evansville, IN. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Heather, Taylor, and Lauren Edwards.

Services for Barb will be on Friday, Oct. 6th, 2006, at 10:00 A.M. at the Blythe Chapel United Methodist Church, with Reverend Mark Fernihough officiating, with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Oct. 5th, 2006, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Highway 168 West in Fort Branch, IN.

The family would also like to thank Sonja and the staff of Heritage Hospice for their wonderful care. Also a special thanks to Dr. Mark Browning and Dr. James Jennison for their care and support through her illness.
