Mary M, (Margie) Duffy, 84, of Haubstadt, IN passed away at Heritage Health Care in Evansville, IN.

She was born on Oct. 12, 1924 in Gibson County, IN, to the late Raymond and Ida (Schnepper) Schmits.

She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Haubstadt, IN. and the Altar Society. Margie had worked at Lakeview Truck Stop in Haubstadt, a little over 40 years.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Staggs; a son Rickey Charles Staggs, who passed away, Monday, Nov. 24 of this year.

She is survived by her husband Joe Duffy of Haubstadt; 5 children, Harold Staggs of Evansville, David Staggs pf Fort Branch, IN, Donna Paul of Haubstadt, Stan Duffy of Louisville, KY, and Gary Duffy of Haubstadt, IN; one sister, Betty Hoefling of Haubstadt, IN;15 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

A joint mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Haubstadt, IN, Fathers Tony Ernst and Gary Kaiser will be the celebrants. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation, will be on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. along with her son’s visitation, where a rosary will be conducted at 7:30 P.M, at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. There will be a visitation at the church on Monday, from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
