Martha Belle Conner, 82 of Ft. Branch, IN, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003 at North Park Nursing Home in Evansville, IN.

She was born August 20, 1921 in Ft. Branch, IN daughter of James R. and Adah (Ashby) Yeast.

She was a member of Bethlehem General Baptist Church in Ft. Branch, IN. She was a member of the VFW Post 2714, Ladies Aux. In Ft. Branch. Martha Belle retired from Gibson Southern High School in 1985 after 10 years. She had been a mail carrier in Ft. Branch, IN and had worked at the Marlette Elementary School Cafeteria.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Carson Jones, Sr. in 1965; her second husband, Marcus Conner in 1997; an infant daughter, Monte Marie Conner in 1961; 5 children, Donnabel Whitehouse of Ft. Branch, IN, Carson L. Jones of Hudson, FL, Glenda Kay Sewell of Palm Bay, FL, Mitzi Ferderber of Evansville, IN and Marci Ranes of Evansville, IN; 2 sisters, Gloria Strawn of Owensville, IN, and Geraldine Bell of Henderson, KY; 12 grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Hwy 168 West in Ft. Branch,

Friends may call for visitation on Tuesday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
