Donald Van Broshears, age 86, passed away March 31, 2004 at 11:02 AM. at Heritage Nursing Home in Evansville, IN.
Donald was born to the late
Doris James and Edith May(Hickrod)
Broshears on April 25, 1917 in Fort Branch IN.
He is preceded in death by
his first wife, Edna Ruth (Duncan) Broshears in 1977; his second wife, June P. (Williams) Broshears in 1997; granddaughters, Michelle and Christine Broshears in 1986; and a sister Rose Jeanine Holzmeyer.
Donald graduated from Fort Branch High
School in
1935. He was retired from Potter and
Brumfield in Princeton, IN as a millwright, he also worked at Servel, was a Auto Mechanic, Race Car Mechanic, a TV
Repairman in the 50's, a Painter and Paper Hanger, Barber and a Trail Bike
Rider. Donald was an Avid Golfer and
Bowler. Donald was a member of the Princeton Eagles, VFW Fathers Auxiliary, Princeton Country Club, was a founding member of the Fort
Branch Little League and was in the Army from 1937 to 1939.
He is survived by 5 sons,
Donald D. of Evansville IN, Charles G. of Evansville IN, D. Gene of Fayetteville GA, V. Michael of Lawrenceburg, IN and Rodney Van of Haubstadt, IN; a stepson, Charles
Martin of Evansville IN; 9 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren;
and 2 step great grandchildren.
Services for Donald will be Saturday April 3,
2004 at 10:00 AM at the Stodghill Funeral
Home located on Hwy 168 West in Fort Branch, IN.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM
on Friday, April 2 at Stodghill Funeral Home. Burial
will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch, IN
