Ralph (Earl) Baker, 69, of Princeton, IN, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004 at the Owensville Manor.

 

Earl was born to the late Floyd Ernst and Mary Leota (Borders) Baker on Nov. 20, 1934 in Whiteland, IN.

 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1957 until 1958. He was a member of the St. Lucas United Church of Christ in Fort Branch, IN, the Union Village Masonic Lodge # 545, The Indianapolis Scottish Rite, and had been a member of the Fort Branch Order of the Eastern Star. Earl spent most of his life farming.

 

Besides his parents, Earl is preceded in death by 3 brothers and 4 sisters, Francis M. Baker, Edward Baker, Allen Baker, Evelyn Miller, Judy Ramsey, Magdalin LaPack, and Anna Farrell.

 

He is survived by his wife, Paula (Swift) Baker; a daughter and her husband Teresa and Brad Lamey of Haubstadt, IN; 2 Brothers and 2 sisters, Ywanna Bridges of Indianapolis, IN, Carroll Baker of Deptford, NJ., Gene Baker of Bargersville, IN, and Shirley Cox of Franklin, IN; also surviving are 3 grandchildren, Cort Baker Lamey, Blair Alan Lamey, and Reece Christian Lamey.

 

Services for Earl will be on Thursday Oct 7, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Stodghill Funeral Home located on Highway 168 West in Fort Branch, IN, Pastor John Heumann will officiate.  Burial will be in the St. Lucas United Church of Christ Cemetery in Fort Branch.

 

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted by the Fort Branch Masonic Lodge #696 at 7:30 on Wednesday evening at the funeral home and military graveside services will be conducted by the Fort Branch VFW Post 2714 Thursday at the cemetery.
