William M. (Bill) Allen, 77, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away ay his residence on Thursday, November 11, 2004.

Bill was born on January 5, 1927 in Mt. Carmel, IL to the late Merle and Eva Marie (Tisdale) Allen.

Bill was retired from the CSX Railroad and was a member of the Fort Branch Weslyan Church.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, William Lawerance Allen in 1956, a sister, Wilma Smith in 2003 and a brother, Harold Richard Allen.

Bill is survived by his wife, Rosella M. (Thompson) Allen, and 2 daughters, Deborah Jo Bates of Squim, Washington, Diana Vessels of Fort Branch, IN. He is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Glen Allen of Mt. Carmel, IL, Donald Allen of Laweranceville, IL, Betty Richardson of West Salem, IL, and Joyce Doan of Mt. Carmel, IL. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Services for Bill are pending at the Stodghill Funeral Home Located on Hwy. 168 West in Fort Branch, IN. (Note: He was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery.)
