Charles W. "Bill" Nelson, 80, passed away on Thursday May 31, 2007 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

Bill worked in maintenance for the State and for the North Gibson School Corp. He also owned an auto repair shop and a remodeling business. He attended the Patoka Methodist Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp.

He served as a volunteer for the Patoka White River Township Fire Dept. For 25 years.

Bill was born on September 7, 1926 in Princeton to Samuel H. & Velma (Sinkhorn) Nelson, both deceased. Also preceding him in death was his wife, Edith P. Nelson in 1994.

He is survived by his son & daughter-in-law, Gary & Susan Nelson of Indianapolis, Indiana; 2 granddaughters, Kimberly & Kristen Nelson; 2 great grandchildren, Zachary Byers and Aubrey Cogell; and 2 brothers, Fred & Don Nelson both of Princeton.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 AM on Monday June 4, 2007 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Pastor Greg Davis officiating.

Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. Friends may visit from 4 until 8 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
