FRANCISCO—Maybelle
M. Maxam, 98, died on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at Good Samaritan
Nursing Home in Oakland City.
She was born in Francisco on March
2, 1905.
She was a housewife and spent most
of her life in the Francisco and Princeton communities. She attended the
Francisco Methodist Church.
She
was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey (Buck) Maxam in 1982; son Jerry D.
Maxam in 1992; parents, Elza and Nora (Hussey) McConnell; three sisters, Nigel
Wilhite, Grace McConnell and Hazel Mowry; and three brothers, Bert, Dale and
James McConnell.
Survivors
include her sister, Dottya Young of Princeton; brother, Don McConnell of
Francisco; daughter-in-law, Madean Clarkson; eight nieces and nephews, James
Mowry, Michael McConnell, Kanda Walden, Becky Richeson, Connie Amis, Stanley
Young, Myra Robling and Kathleen McEllhiney; and special caregiving
great-nephew, Kerry D. Wilhite.
Graveside
services will be held on Sunday at 2:45 p.m. at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in
Princeton. Rev. Tarrell Thompson will officiate. Friends may call from 1 until
2:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home. Family and friends will go in
procession to the cemetery for the service.
