William Alva Mallory, 80, of Micco, Florida passed away on Thursday August 28, 2008 at Sebastian River Medical Center, after an extended illness.

Born in Decker, IN, he has been a resident of Micco for the past 26 years coming from Vero Beach, FL.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Prior to retirement, he worked on the assembly line for International Harvester, in Evansville, IN.

Survivors include, his wife of 55 years, Hazel Mallory of Micco, FL; 5 daughters, Donna Pyke, Patricia Anne Pyke, & Melissa Blizman, all of Vero Beach, FL and Deborah Shivers and Brenda Locke both of Fellsmere, FL; 3 sons, James and Robert Mallory both of Micco, FL and John Mallory of Sebastian, FL; 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Mallory.

Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 PM CDT on Tuesday September 2, 2008 at the Somerville Cemetery in Somerville.

There will be no visitation. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City is in charge of arrangements.
