James E. Leatherman, 80,
passed away Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Waters of Princeton.
He was born August 11, 1926 in Watseka, IL and had resided in Princeton since 1988, moving back here after living in Watseka, IL.
He was of the Quaker faith
and was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad after 39 years of service
with them. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during WW II and was a
member of the V.F.W. # 1147 in Princeton and the Masonic Lodge in Watseka, IL
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Mary Leatherman of Princeton; 5 daughters & 1 son; 6 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren
and a sister, Jennette Leatherman of Watseka, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M.
Thursday,
January 18, 2007 at Colvin
Funeral Home in Princeton, with Major Verle Wilson
officiating.
Friends may visit from 1 P.M. until the service hour on Thursday at Colvin Funeral
Home. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. V.F.W. # 1147 will provide full military rites at
the cemetery.
