Joe Howard Kolb, 75, of rural Princeton, died at 5:40 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2005 at his home.

 

He was born Nov. 26, 1929 in rural Patoka. 

He was a retired farmer and had lived in rural Patoka his entire life. He was a member of the
Princeton Wesleyan Church. He was the former chair of the Gibson County Democratic Party, and had also served on the North Gibson School Corp. board and was a former Fair Board member. He was a past member of the Moose Lodge and the Eagles. 

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Louise Houstin, in 1997. 

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Kolb, of Princeton; six children and their spouses, Reitta and Mike Hughes, of Princeton, Brenda and Jim Carrigan, of Evansville, Keith and Patti Kolb, of Patoka, Krista and Fred Hadley, of Hazleton, Treva and Charles Milheiser, of Princeton and Jason Kolb, of Princeton; a brother, John Kolb, of Patoka; three sisters, Anna Lou Hofman and Jane Woods, both of Princeton, and Susan Mayer, of Jacksonville, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be at
10 a.m. Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home, in Princeton, with the Rev. Jerry Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Decker Cemetery, north of Princeton.

 

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
