Lawrence Z. Wallace age 92 of North Ft. Myers, FL, formerly of Oakland City, passed away Saturday morning Oct. 20, 2007 at the Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, FL.

 

He was born Apr. 1, 1915 in Princeton, IN to Charles and Nancy (Joines) Wallace.

 

He was a retired lineman with Public Service Indiana where he worked for 32 years. 

Lawrence had lived in Florida since 2001 moving there from Oakland City. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Oakland City. He was a former Boy Scout leader and enjoyed gardening and sharing his produce with others. 

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; Nancy and Melvin Phillips, North Ft. Myers FL, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Kathryn Wallace in 2006, a son Larry Wallace in 1971, six brothers and one sister. 

Funeral Services will be
11 a.m. Saturday Oct. 27, 2007 at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with the Rev. Douglas Low officiating.

 

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Saturday. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Francisco.
