William Phelps, 88, of Princeton passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Northpark Nursing Center in Evansville.
He was born May 19, 1918 in Chandler, Indiana to John Nelson and Julia (Coleman) Phelps who
preceded him in death along with his spouse, Vivian (Ott)
Phelps, a brother, Loran Louis Phelps and a sister, Ada
Mae Scott.
He has lived most of lifetime in the Princeton area. He
was a member of the VFW Post #1147, American Legion Post #25, and the Prince
Lodge F & AM #231 in Princeton.
He was an auto body repairman for several businesses in the area for over 30
years, retiring in 1983.
William is survived by his nieces and nephews, William & Loretta Phelps,
Hazel Skelton, Julie Scott, Earl & Barbara Sink.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at 3 P.M.
at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton with military graveside services by VFW Post #1147.
Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. The Colvin Funeral Home is in
charge of arrangements.
